Beyond the Wall

Flowers grow behind a wall, yet brighten the day of people they will never meet. Maybe kindness works like that. We don’t always get to see how far it reaches.

You hold a door open. You let someone finish speaking. You remember a small thing they thought nobody had noticed.

Then you go on with your day.

You may never hear that they needed that moment. That being listened to made it easier to speak again. That a little patience helped them feel less alone in a difficult afternoon.

Not every kindness comes back as a thank-you. Sometimes it simply travels further than we can see.

We cannot know what everyone is carrying, and we cannot make every day easier. But we can leave a little room for one another.

Some of the good we put into the world will reach people we never meet. It still counts.
